Welcome to Celtic Biodiesel |
|
At Celtic biodiesel we manufacture bio-diesel for use in diesel engines. We operate from Pembroke Dock in Pembrokeshire and serve the whole of the country.
Our aim is to provide a sustainable alternative to mineral diesel for our customers. We can do this by creating a second use for an otherwise waste product, used cooking oil. We source our used cooking oil via our own collection rounds for distribution around the Pembrokeshire and the UK. Our process refines the used cooking oil and turns it into a reliable, affordable and safe diesel alternative.
When using our fuel your contribution to atmosheric polution will dramatically reduce. You will also stop contibuting to the increase of Carbon Dioxide in the atmospere, the greenhouse gas which contributes most to global warming.
Although the environmental benefits are clear and remain largely undisputed, the economic incentive for small start up organisations such as ourselves to produce bio-diesel remain potentially uneconomic without grant or similar assistance to fund the expensive machinery and infrastructure required. For this reason, we would particularly like to thank the Welsh Assembly Government and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for a grant from their Sustainability Fund (SDF), the Pembrokeshire County Council for their ongoing interest in the possibility of this project also helping them to achieve some of their own local initiatives and objectives, the Milford Haven Port Authority for helping us to find suitable premises and www.essexfoodservicegroup.com for their support & loan to help cover the big fuel duties as they become payable. It was preliminary discussions with these organisations which primarily gave us the motivation to invest our own money in this new venture. We have subsequently had a great deal of interest and support from other organisations which we shortly recognise via our links section.
Please do ask if your own organisation would like an involvement or if you are already actively involved and a link has not yet been included.
